Juggling Act: Balancing Family, Life, and Work

AHHAH presents a participatory workshop on the realities of stress and the supportive practices of mindfulness and movement.   The workshop touches on the neuroscience behind these practices and identifies the effects of compassion fatigue. When we can identify the signs and symptoms of compassion fatigue, we can make steps towards healing. Participants will get the opportunity to embody practices of self-care  and resiliency in order to have first hand experience and build up their self-care toolbox.  AHHAH’s workshop hopes to leave participants with the message that self-care is not a luxury, rather a necessity in order to give the best of ourselves to the community and clients with work alongside.

Compassion Fatigue to Compassion Satisfaction; Refill, Replenish,  Reenergize, Reframe

*This workshop is a follow up to Juggling Act: Balancing Family, Life, and Work to reinforce and expand on the concepts introduced in the original workshop.  It is an experiential workshop to examine the habits, mindsets, and practices that keep us moving at frenzied and productive pace while depriving ourselves of the joy, replenishment and connection we need to thrive and flourish.
We will explore incorporating sustainable self-care practices that support you as an individual while building a more supportive work environment that mutually benefits the communities we serve.
